- The best way to manage media projects is to create a production schedule. This brings together logistics and resource details and includes all tasks, milestones and the time - scales and deadlines and allows the tracking of progress 

- This is shared with all members of the production team and contains details of the initial proposal, key milestones agreed with the clients as well as final deadlines 


1) Tasks - actual jobs that need doing 

2)Deadlines - the date when these tasks must be completed 

3)Milestones - identified point to be reached within the projects  

4)Contingencies - back up plan/ ideas; alternative option

- A risk assessment is carried out by a company as a means of identifying and tryng to minimise potential risks 

- will include - Hazard name - what is the risk - who is at risk - level of risk and how ti can be controlled 

- it is conducted by visiting location before production starts to protect everyone and everything
